Yay! I just won at the TravelBook.ph’s Blogger Getaway Contest. Actually, this is my first time to join in a sponsored Blogger Getaway for three days and two nights all-expense paid at Caliraya Mountain Lake Resort, Cavinti Laguna. I am so excited to explore the breathtaking view of the resort with my new-found blogger friends.
Mountain Lake Resort is nestled beside a man-made Caliraya lake situated in the town of Cavinti, Laguna. The resort offers a relaxing environment where you can refresh and unwind together with your family and friends. As you are fairly isolated from the rest of the world, you get compensated with the view of rolling hills and a peaceful environment. For adventure seekers, the resort offers an In-Water Obstacle Course and other outdoor activities perfect for team building, corporate events and school outings. It started on an early friday morning, we met at the Cybergate Tower 3, Mandaluyong city, where the office of the TravelBook.ph was located. The Mountain Lake Resort’s shuttle van picked us up from the TravelBook.ph’s office to the resort. En route to the resort via Manila East Road, we passed-by the town of Antipolo, Teresa, up to Paete, Lumban, Caliraya, and Cavinti where Mountain Lake Resort is located. It took us 3 hours travel time to get there.
Upon arrival at the resort, I was mesmerized by the luscious green landscape with a clubhouse at the center situated in a 300 hectare property. I felt like touring in a tropical residential house in hacienda with a golf course. From the moment we walked into the beautiful front entry, we were treated by their staff with warmth, graciousness and professionalism. The resort itself from a physical standpoint is gorgeous but the service and warmth are outstanding!

It was rainy friday afternoon, we were welcomed by their staff to the function room of the clubhouse where we ate our lunch before transferring to our assigned rooms.

Accommodation:
The Residences Hotel situated in the clubhouse offers 21 rooms of various sizes and can comfortably fit 65 persons and offers 4-stars quality accommodation and services. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioned, cable TV, hot & cold shower, mini refrigerator and other amenities.
Standard Room
Deluxe Room Family Room
Along with the room accommodation was a free access to sauna, jacuzzi and billiards. The rooms weren’t pricey and can be justified with the staff’s amazing customer service and facilities. You can book and reserve a room at TravelBook.ph for discounted rates.

We stayed at the Amihan cottages, Marina area which was a nipa hut type of accommodation with two ceiling fans, DVD and TV and common shower. it’s a cozy villa right beside the lake. You don’t need to look for air-conditioned system at the villa since it’s quite breezy and cold at night.
You can also opt for the Lakeside Boat house, if you prefer to be closer to the fishing area where you can do fishing right at the balcony of your boathouse.

For backpackers, there was a Glamping accommodation with special camping tent, sleep mattresses, linens, fan , lights, power outlet and common shower.

On the second day, it was a pleasant saturday morning to start our team building activities. Hooray! The sun shines brightly after the pouring rain. Before the activities begun,we went to the clubhouse where La Cucina was located. There is a shuttle service always available if you need a ride going to the clubhouse from Marina area. We just had our daily breakfast then some photo ops around the clubhouse.
Okay! Enough for the photo ops. It was time to get down and dirty. We were divided into two groups for the In-Water Obstacle Course which costs P 150.00 nett (per pax). The courses were different since most were water based with different stages. It was a little challenging but it was still fun especially because it was something new for us. You should try the water obstacle course (but make sure to bring extra clothes for you might get wet and dirty, hihihi)
In-Water Obstacle Course
1st stage: Slide-Drop-Climb-Drop 6th stage: Tarzan Swing
2nd stage: Wall Climb Slide 7th stage: In-water Military Crawl
3rd stage: Tire Challenge 8th stage: Log Crossing
4th stage: Cable Balance 9th stage: In-water Horseback Crossing
5th stage: Karate Kid 10th (final) stage: Pole Climb
It was a blast, we had so much fun! It literally knocked out our team spirits. It was on the second day when we also experience other fun activities at the Mountain Lake Resort.

After a fun-filled outdoor activities, we went to the resort’s pool overlooking the Caliraya lake. We had so much fun swimming and playing outdoor games. The place is so refreshing and very relaxing. Though the pool is freezing cold, but tolerable. Overall, we enjoyed the amenities and accommodation. I highly recommend Mountain Lake Resort. A great value for money!

Alright! Done with the awesome outdoor activities. It was dinner time and socials. The resort offers a sumptuous dinner experience with their house specialties. OH MY GOSH! I love their Crispy Pata and their Bulalo it was a booomb! Fresh dory fish is also available steamed with ginger soy sauce as their house specialty. Overall, we enjoyed the resort’s delightful cuisine.

Videoke night session with my co-bloggers.
Third day was our last day, we woke up early on a sunday morning with an excitement. Guest what? We were going on an ATV ride. Hooray! But wait, don’t be too excited. Before anything else, we ate our breakfast and then prepared ourselves for an adventure of a lifetime. Hihihi
It was time for an adventure! We had an awesome ATV ride experience. Given the safety gear then we were all set for an adrenaline ATV ride. The scenery was just amazing with 1 hour of riding through the creek beds, grassy and muddy terrain. Great guides lots of good laughs. No need to worry if you are not a great bike rider, a quick spin around the training track before you head out will set you up for the day.

When we got back, we had our lunch then packed our bags. It was time for us to go home. TravelBook Blogger Getaway was an awesome experience. I had so much fun knowing that I shared same interest and adventurous experiences with them. I also had the opportunity to meet new found-blogger friends that inspired me to continue writing for what I am passionate about. Be inspired, express yourself and laugh out loud. An unforgettable blogger getaway. THANK YOU TRAVELBOOK.PH!
